| LINK TO THE NEWS & PHOTO ARCHIVE Initiation - PGL Visit On Thursday the 29th of July 2010, Brothers of the Province visited the Billavincea Lodge in the Cambridge District to attend the Initiation of Mr Steven Baker. The Locomotive 5682, Eastgate 6393, Valiant 8806 and the Fenman 8960 Lodges were represented. Following an excellent Ceremony conducted by the Worthy Primo, Bro. Mike Scrivenor ROH, PPGP, Bro. Terry led a visit by Peterborough PGL to welcome the new Brother. Initiation
Mr Steven Coakley was Initiated into the Order on Wednesday 28th of July 2010. The Ceremony was performed by the Worthy Primo, Bro. Steve Jones KOM. In attendance was Bro. Rick Chesmond ROH, PPGP 2002 & the Grand Waiter for 2009, Bro. Pete Dudley KOM, the IPPGP and the PGP for 2010, Bro. Terry Colingwood ROH. Valiant Lodge Bar-B-Q The Valiant Lodge held a Bar-B-Q on Sunday 25th of July at the home of Werner & Jesse Dukamp. Monies were raised in support of the PGP's Charity Appeal, Peterborough City Hospital. The Brothers of the Lodge and their good Ladies prepared the food that was excelently cooked and served by the younger Brothers, Sean, Robert, John & Taff. The entertainment was provided by, Dusty Miller - Horse Racing, Rick Chesmond - Raffle & Dave Spencer - "Chuffin 'Eck". Details of the total raised will be available soon. Fourth Degree Raising
ROH President Tony Carpenter ROH with Bro. 'Jamie' Wade ROH Bro. Brian (Jamie) Wade, of the Willoughby Lodge, was raised to the Fourth Degree on Tuesday the 20th of July at the RAOB Club in Bourne. The Installing Officer was the Roll of Honour Assembly President, Bro. Tony Carpenter ROH, who conducted a superb Ceremony ably assisted by the Assembly Director of Ceremonies, Bro. Bob Macnamarra ROH & the Officers of the ROH Assembly. Bro. Jamie thanked the Brothers who attended and was extremely pleased at the magnificent turnout. Bro. Peter Nadin ROH, Grand Alderman of Juniper 2005 & Bro. Rick Chesmond ROH, Grand Waiter 2009 assisted in the Ceremony. 2010 Bannister Cup, Fishing Competition This years PGL Fishing Match will take place on Sunday August the 15th. The venue is Yoke Farm Fisheries, Upper Benefield on the A427 between Oundle & Corby. More details from Lodge Secretaries. PGP's Shoot and Family Fun Day The PGP is organising a Clay Pigeon Shoot and Family Fun Day on Sunday the 29th of August, more details to follow soon Fenman Lodge PGP's Charity Night There will be a "Fish Supper" and Bingo Night, on the 23rd of October. To be held in the Farcet Village Club in support of the PGP's Outside Charity. 2010 PGL Dinner This years PGL Dinner will take place on Saturday 30th of October at The Cresset in Bretton. The cost will be £19 per head, more details here soon. Third Degree Raising
Bro. Colin Cammidge, of the Eastgate Lodge, was Raised to the Third Degree on Wednesday 19th May. The Installing Officer was Bro. Bob Crowe KOM supported by the Knights Director of Ceremonies, Bro. The IPPGP, Bro. Pete Dudley, of the Valiant Lodge, was Raised to the Third Degree on Saturday 17th of April. The Raising was held at the Queen Eleanor School Sports Hall, Stamford. The Installing Officer, The Knights Chapter President, Bro. Barry Burrell KOM, conducted a superb Ceremony from memory, ably assisted by the Director of Ceremonies, Bro. Chaz Fenner KOM.
